Last week we announced the General Availability of Basin (https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-basin/), a serverless data platform built on Apache Iceberg and R2. It has three parts:
Pipelines (streaming ingestion and SQL transforms), Catalog (a managed Iceberg REST catalog with table maintenance) and SQL (a distributed query engine).
We also launched K2 (https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-k2-streams/), a durable event stream built on R2 that started out as the ingestion buffer behind Pipelines.
We're hiring for two roles:
Basin Pipelines: work on the streaming engine (built on Arroyo) and K2. You need experience writing the core of a storage or streaming system, and strong Rust or C++.

Basin SQL and Basin Catalog: work on the query engine (Rust, DataFusion, Arrow, Parquet) and the Iceberg catalog. You need 6+ years in distributed systems. Experience with Rust and query or storage
engines is a plus. https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/cloudflare/jobs/8030240
